چکیده

Ontologies offer significant benefits to multi-agent systems: interoperability, reusability, support for multi-agent system (MAS) development activities (such as system analysis and agent knowledge modeling) and support for MAS operation (such as agent communication and reasoning). This paper presents an ontology-based methodology, MOBMAS, for the analysis and design of multi-agent systems. MOBMAS is the first methodology that explicitly identifies and implements the various ways in which ontologies can be used in the MAS development process and integrated into the MAS model definitions. In this paper, we present comprehensive documentation and validation of MOBMAS. 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

Development of a peer-to-peer information sharing system using ontologies

Most existing agent-oriented methodologies ignore system extensibility, interoperability and reusability issues. Ontologies have been found to play a significant role in facilitating interoperability, reusability, MAS development activities (including MAS analysis and agent knowledge modeling) and MAS run-time operation (including agent communication and reasoning). However, most of the existin...

Perspective Of MAS Modeling Through Roles And Ontology MD.ABDUL MUQSIT KHAN1, K.CHANDRA SEKHARAIAH2, MD.ZAINULABUDDIN3,

Multi-Agent System’s (MAS) are characterized by autonomous and collaborative behaviors. Developing such systems is a complex process. As a result, a methodology for developing MAS is highly necessary. In this paper, a methodology using roles and ontology for such a purpose is presented. The functionality of roles is estimated in the various phases of the MAS development. It is based on an empha...

Use and Design of Ontology-based Multi-agent System for Multi-site Software Development Environment

Large software development projects involve several participants who are distributed geographically without face-to-face communication. To maintain collaborative work through effective communication and coordination, it is necessary to have a common understanding of terminology and methodology to clarify software engineering concepts and enable knowledge exchange and reuse. We consider an ontol...

Developing Shared Ontologies in Multi-agent Systems

Effective communication of knowledge between agents needs to be based on a common understanding of the terms contained in messages. A shared ontology forms the basis for specifying the meaning of terms used by communicating agents. The construction of a shared ontology must therefore form one of the main stages in the development of a multi-agent system. In this paper, we suggest that the desig...

Voltage Coordination of FACTS Devices in Power Systems Using RL-Based Multi-Agent Systems

This paper describes how multi-agent system technology can be used as the underpinning platform for voltage control in power systems. In this study, some FACTS (flexible AC transmission systems) devices are properly designed to coordinate their decisions and actions in order to provide a coordinated secondary voltage control mechanism based on multi-agent theory. Each device here is modeled as ...
